Flood Update: Although Ascend is fully staffed and operational in our temporary new home, Ascend, like other businesses and homes around Tennessee, will be impacted by sporadic interruptions of Middle Tennessee utility services. We have been told that across this widespread geographic area electric, phone, cable, (including internet services) as well as other utilities will need to implement "rolling outages" as utility companies work to repair flood damage to their infrastructure. Thank you all for the support and kindnesses you have shown. |
Ascend is up and running. We have overcome the difficulties associated with Tennessee's historic flooding, which has led the President to issue a Major Disaster Declaration. Our fax lines are open and printing, and our web-entry sites are operational. Our phone service is being installed mid-day today. Until phone lines are operational, any technical issues can be directed to jburns@ascendami.com. Once phone lines are operational, we are asking providers to limit phone calls on Wednesday for technical issues only, which will enable our IT team to pinpoint any technical issues immediately. This will also permit Ascend staff to prioritize pending clinical reviews/evaluations. As screens are completed, outcomes will be viewable on pasrr.com. Please hold clinical and outcome questions until Thursday. All clinical conversations between reviewers and providers will occur via the interactive website. As a result of the catastrophic flooding and compromised levees, Ascend's offices have evacuated by order of Tennessee's Governor until our central offices are safe. We have relocated staff, equipment, and our technological infrastructures to an alternate site. We sincerely appreciate your support and understanding as Ascend and Tennessee work to resume business following this unprecedented tragedy. |
Please contact the Nebraska Division at 1-877-431-1388, Ext 3341 if you have questions regarding completing a Level I screen or problems with your login. We will be glad to assist you. |
Ascend is excited to announce a new Operations Manager for the Nebraska contract. Amy Gantt has moved on to a new contract within Ascend. Wendy Johnson comes to the contract with years of PASRR experience and has worked on several other contracts for Ascend. She may be reached at 877-431-1388 ext 3270 if you need to speak with a manager. |
Message from DHHS: Compliance reports indicate providers are not transmitting Level I screens and receiving Ascend confirmation prior to admission to a NF certified bed. A list of non-compliant providers is being sent to Medicaid and to the LTC Survey and Inspection teams each month. Non-compliance with PASRR preadmission screening process will produce survey compliance issues and will cost the NF Medicaid reimbursement. |
When calling to request information about a screen, be prepared to provide the individual's name and SSN to Ascend's clinicians. This helps to ensure we are speaking about the same individual. |
